PEMRA mum over ban!

When the Cable Operators were asked about the ban on certain Cable channels, they replied that PEMRA imposed the ban and refused to give a reason while saying that the ban would be lifted in no time. Well, we are confused here PEMRA. Why are you so mum over the issue anyway?

Our cricket team…

People are thinking that what sins that we, as a nation, committed to get such a cricket team! The masses who have been praying all along for the team’s success are hurt yet in disbelieve over the entire allegations of match fixing, on the team, minting away 1,50,000 pounds. Others are disgusted over the entire episode. Few are blaming media for airing the footage again and again for we all are patriotic to the core and to say the least, we, as a nation is hurt over it all!

And the skies decide otherwise!

With continued rains for 5 nights straight, just when the Capitaliites, despite their multiple allergies in face of change of weather and floods’ aftermath, were delighted over the fact that winters have arrived without transactional season of Fall, well, Mother Nature proved otherwise and decided to bring back the summer heat in full swing, causing temperatures and headaches for many who are now waiting for the next rain for recovery, probably to tell us the importance of rain, the hard way!

Tunes for religious hymns…

It is so disgraceful to note on few of the channels on the Cable TV devoted solely to our religion, air religious hymns; Hamd-o-Naat on the tunes of Indian songs. PEMRA should ban such channels too, which are making mockery of all things sacred!

We will follow the tareek-e-kaar!

Federal Minister of Sports, Mr. Ejaz Jakhrani, when asked to comment on the controversy and future action with regard to the Pakistan Cricket Team, by a private TV channel, the minister stated that there is a tareek-e-kaar and we would follow the tareek-e-kaar! If such is the mixture of English and Urdu for our ministers’ spoken language, then it’s no wonder if our youth learns and speaks the same!

Bullet cheaper than human life…

In Hyderabad, over a rift for Rs.30, 5 men were shot dead by the rival party which is in fact, pointing towards the fact that in fact, perhaps, bullets are getting cheaper than human lives even…

Crooks running for life!

In Lahore, a robber was first beaten up and then tied up to the electricity pole by the residents of that area as they went out to call the cops. It seems that the residents were sure that WAPDA would not bring light and the loadshedding would go on and on, and the crook won’t die that easily. After airing the footage, now crooks are running for their lives!
