DERA GHAZI KHAN - Students took out a rally and staged a sit-in in protest against inaccuracies in the Intermediate Examinations results and the prevalent online system, media reported on Tuesday.
The protesting students hailing from various government and private educational institutions protested in a procession from Government Post Graduate College to College Chowk of the city. The protesters raised slogans against the online system and Punjab government. They also staged a sit-in there causing holdup in traffic at important arteries of the city including Jampur Road, Hospital Road, Model Town Road and College Road.
The demonstrators dispersed after Dera Ghazi Khan’s educational board assured to cancel the results and set them up afresh.—Agencies
