Islamic laws crystal clear, unambiguous: Chief Justice
Bureau Report

LAHORE—Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has observed Islamic laws are crystal clear, free from any ambiguity and a complete code of life which encompass all the matters including Khulla, divorce, human rights and other issues of human life.
He was addressing inauguration ceremony of a magazine “Pakistan law revenue” here Sunday. Head of law department of Delhi university India, Ameeta Agarwal, professor Humayun Ehsan and magazine editor Tasneem Kausar also spoke on the occasion. The famous poem “ Yarab Dilley Muslim Ko “ was read out as prayer for the chief justice during the ceremony.
The chief justice said this prayer should be recited not only for me and my fellow judges but also for the entire judiciary so that it could perform its obligations in a fashion that would ensure betterment and welfare for the entire nation and justice could be provided to the deserved ones. Appreciating the material published in the magazine, he said the material provided in the periodical is research oriented and knowledge based.
The material not only refutes the charges of terrorism but also it makes it clear that high quality education is imparted in the country and Pakistan is not a terrorist society. Chief Justice noted that the educational institutions are operating like mushroom all over the country and they are aimed at minting money only rather than educating the people in the discipline of law. Therefore, the standard of education in law subject is deteriorating, which should be taken note of.
“ I will talk no more on this matter as the case for regularization of these institutions have come up. I have set up committee under the chief justice of Lahore High Court on this issue. However, bar council should also play its role in this regard”, he urged. Citing Islamic laws, he said Islamic teachings fully cover each and every aspect of human life.
