Blast near Pakistan Mission in Beirut, staff safe

ISLAMABAD—Pakistani Envoy in Beirut Asma Aneesa said Thursday that blasts were heard near Pakistani embassy in Beirut.
She said that a light house which is at the distance of one furlong from Pakistani embassy in beirut was struck by a helicopter. Asma Aneesa said, “We cannot say about the injuries as news are stilling coming from there, but according to initial reports there are no injuries”. As the blasts were near the embassy, so they were heard very loud, she added. She said, all staff at that time was in the embassy and all are safe. Asma Aneesa said, Some Pakistanis had registered their name for going to Pakistan and they would be sent as soon as possible. She added that the embassy would work as usual.
Online Adds: Israeli fighter planes bombarded near Pakistani Embassy in Beirut on Thursday, however no loss of life was reported. Pakistani Ambassador in Beirut Asma Anisa said that Israeli fighter planes fired rockets at a Rest House, some one kilometre way from Pakistani Embassy in Beirut. She added that due to Israeli bombardment near the Embassy, there was no loss of life and the staff is perfectly fine along with no major damage to the Embassy.
